hey. i haven't been here in like... a while. i figured i'd dust this thing off a bit. long story short, here's just a bit of what happened to me since the last journal entry:
• Got a fairly bitching tablet pc. I've really used it nonstop (literally nonstop) since May, so it's getting a bit rough around the edges & the power seems suddenly a bit glitchy but other than that, I'm fairly happy with it. especially with onenote. it's my favoritest thing almost ever. ahead of zombies, but not quite surpassing ninjas. sorry.
• I have a new demo reel. not as good as the first but it's got newer stuff. you can find it at my...
• ... updated website. which i was jumping back & forth working on my laptop as i was doing my demo reel on my desktop before...
• ... I went to England. It was very... English. Yeah. No it was really good, but all & all I planned to go with big hopes & things were really rushed. but no worries. got something out of it. (more on that later)
• I worked a couple of freelance tv gigs & actually got paid a relatively reasonable amount for it. still wouldn't work in television though. bums.
• I thought I had appendicitis. Not fun. Especially sans insurance.
• I succumbed to the beast & actually started using that silly little myspace page i made up for myself months & months ago. i feel like a loser. and even more of a loser for including a
profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?…• Saw the Flaming Lips & Sonic Youth live, kicking a lot of ass. lips have the best live show ever, hands down.
• Still haven't sat down & drawn a damn comic yet! I'm such a slack-ass loser, i know. but i have been plotting for gunshin, amf, & a superhero title that resurrects a character i developed when i was like 10.
• I got my ass published though! in a book about how to rig game characters in maya. my december sendai model is in it. seek it out!!
• by far the coolest thing though (2 parter). i finally got my ass decent employment! that's right. i'm officially going to be part of the gaming industry. finally! i'll be doing 3d models for ccp games

(part 2) sunny Reykjavik, Iceland! that's right. i'm right now, in the process of filling out the paperwork to move to iceland. that's right iceland. no. i'm serious. i just recently, as in like a few weeks ago, went & checked the place out & i really dig it! chances are before this you didn't know anyone in iceland. well guess what, you will!
anyway. yeah. so that's why i haven't updated. sorry. thanks to all who gave remotely helpful, critical, or just cool comments that helped me develop my skills! i really appreciate it. i hope to get back on it & start posting more again soon.
